Communicating with super-users, submitters and inactive users

We recommend that you use every opportunity to send out automated messages. On Crowdicity, you can do this when a participant joins the community, submits an idea, casts their first vote and reaches each milestone. Doing so is an opportunity to give advice to participants on what to do next and how to participate further.

If you’re not using auto-messages, it’s good practice to respond as soon as possible to a participant after they’ve submitted an idea, either with advice on how they can generate interest from the community, a question or a word of encouragement. It can be disheartening for participants if they don't receive a response, and they can lose interest.

Super-users can be easy to identify, but to be sure, you can run an activity report on users. It’s important to nurture your super-users and speak to them on the phone if you can, because they can help you build trust and increase engagement. Remember to ask them to invite potential participants to the challenge.

Inactive and low-frequency users can be targeted according to the information on their profiles. Segment this group in your user-admin page and send them personalised emails according to why they signed up to the challenge in the first place. This will give you an indication of how many of them signed up only to vote for a friend, and how many ideas you can expect from them.
